What was your favorite subject at school?
I can’t remember if my first school love was biology, or poetry. My homeschool poetry teacher moonlighted as a baton-twirling fire dancer, and she always brought Georgia O’Keeffe books to class. I remember that poetry class better than any other educational experience from my childhood. I was so inspired!
